JUNIOR ACCOUNTING CLERK

LAFRAMBOISE GROUP is seeking a Jr Accounting Clerk with accounting experience. This is a full-time position based out of LAFRAMBOISE GROUP’s corporate office located in Long Sault (Cornwall), Ontario.
LAFRAMBOISE GROUP is an industrial fabricator and contractor self-performing, Piping, Structural Steel, Sheetmetal, Millwrighting, Tanks and Vessels, Electrical and Instrumentation work. We have offices in Long Sault, Ontario, Syracuse, NY, and Bartow, FL and perform work throughout CANADA and THE continental USA.
Description of Position: Responsible for supporting the accounting department with a range of tasks from project accounting and costing to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll as well as assisting with account reconciliations. Establishing and maintaining a physical and electronic system of documents related to the costs of a construction worksite.
- Inputting financial transactions into accounting software and/or spreadsheets.
- Organizing invoices, receipts and other financial documents
- Ensuring documents are stored properly for easy retrieval and audit compliance
- Assisting in keeping general ledgers accurate and current.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Support the accounting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
- Some overtime may be required at times
Skills & Experience
- Possess a college diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field, required.
- 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or related field, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Proficiency with integrated accounting software.
- Possess a strong command of the English language, both written and oral (French / Spanish would be an asset).
- Have a strong working knowledge of MS 365 Office, SharePoint and other advanced office technology.
- Ability to work in a safe manner, and in conjunction with the Ontario Workplace Safety and Health Act.
